Sabbatical Leave, 2017

For the academic year, 2016-17, I was on sabbatical and living on Conanicut Island in Rhode Island. I was, in a way, also on sabbatical from the still life and interior subject matter I often work with, and spent the year exploring the landscape. I was particularly drawn to a marshy area in Jamestown, RI called the Great Creek.
